Barton Rovers take on Wroxham in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup tomorrow, a stage that the club hasn't reached in over 6 years. The tie will be played against Step 4 side Wroxham who are based in Sussex. If the game ends in a tie after 90 minutes, there will be a replay at their place on Tuesday / Wednesday evening next week.
We spoke to Rovers defender Ryan Neufville ahead of this weekend's clash! Here is what Ryan had to say:
“The last few games and the season as a whole have been pretty good. I think it has been difficult at times with the starting eleven changing a lot due to injuries/holidays etc. But we’ve played good football and continue to play in the way management wants us to. Last week at Heybridge we definitely felt like we could’ve won the tie. We had more than enough chances to win the game but that’s football and sometimes it doesn’t go your way.
Going into Saturday I think there’s a really good buzz in the changing room. Training has looked sharp and we have a few lads coming back which always helps. We know it’ll be difficult Saturday as they’ve had a pretty similar start to the season as us but, we know we have more than enough to win and progress to the next round. Hopefully, we can get a good crowd to come down and support us to continue on this cup run”
The tie will take place at the Winton Haulage Stadium in Barton-le-Clay at 3PM tomorrow afternoon (Entrance on Luton Road). Tickets can be purchased at the gate at the following prices:
£10 adults, £6 concessions and Free for U14s.
