Barton Rovers defeated 1-2 by Biggleswade after being ahead at half time.

Barton Rovers were defeated on Saturday afternoon after they lost to Biggleswade FC at home.


Starting the game, Barton Rovers almost took an early lead as Matt Moloney played a ball down the wing to Joe Rider in the second minute, Rider then squared it across goal to Rhiney who put his effort over the bar.


In the fourth minute, Rovers had another chance as Rhiney spotted the Biggleswade keeper off his line and had a go from range, he looked to have beaten the keeper but his shot hit the crossbar.


In the eighth it was Biggleswades turn to attack as Bailey nutmeged Moloney before having a go for goal, his effort went wide.


It was Rovers who took the lead in the first half when Joe Riders deflected header hit a Biggleswade defender and went into his own net. 1-0


It was Rovers who were ahead at half time but the game ended differently. Two quick goals meant Biggleswade were ahead by the fifty-seventh minute. The first coming in the forty seventh when Tom Coles bundled a shot in off the post to grab the equaliser.


The second goal was scored by Alex Marsh as he was played in behind and guided it through Saunders legs.


In the final thirty minutes, Rovers had chances and made substitutions to search for an equaliser but they couldn’t find the back of the net and Biggleswade took all three points home.
