Barton have to settle for a draw against Walnuts.

Ten-man Barton Rovers had to settle for a draw against Kempston Rovers on Bank Holiday Monday after conceding a late equaliser in additional time.

Going into the game, 5 changes were made from Saturday's team at home as Hall handed debuts to Gauthier and Harriott as Ryan, Andrews and Warman also came into the side!

After a burst of attacks, Barton went 0-1 down to the Walnuts as ex-Barton defender Matt Racine headed his side in front before taunting the Barton bench. Their lead lasted all but two minutes though as Barton Rovers defender Matt Moloney fired in the equaliser as he netted his first goal for the club. The goal came when Ryan Neufville somehow kept the ball in and swung it across the box first time, Matt Moloney was there to meet it and equalise with a coolly-taken finish!

The two teams went into half-time level, but fifteen minutes after the restart, Barton went down to ten men when Ashton Grant was given a second yellow and his marching orders. Despite going a man down, The Blues had a bit of luck on their side as they went a goal ahead through a Kempston Rovers own goal! After a long ball was cleared, a Walnut defender looked to head back to his keeper but it bypassed him goalkeeper and trickled in.

After going a goal ahead, Rovers were forced to invite pressure on from a Kempston team with an extra man, and although they dealt with this pressure well, The Walnuts were knocking on the door as they tested Barton new keeper Gauthier multiple times as well as hitting the bar. In the 90+6th minute, Kempston got their equaliser with the game's last attack meaning that the tie ended a point a piece.

Full Time: Kempston Rovers 2-2 Barton Rovers
