Club Policy
Barton Rovers FC is dedicated to ensuring the safest environment possible for children and young people involved in football. We acknowledge that every child has the right to be free from abuse and are committed to promoting their welfare while protecting them from harm. This policy aligns with The Football Association's Regulations for Safeguarding Children.
Scope of the Policy
This policy applies to everyone connected with Barton Rovers FC, including players, parents/carers, coaches, volunteers, staff, officials, and spectators.
Responsibilities
Barton Rovers FC recognises that safeguarding children is a collective responsibility. We will ensure that everyone involved with our club is aware of their duty to protect children and adults at risk.
Awareness and Training
Barton Rovers FC will provide all staff, volunteers, and coaches with access to suitable safeguarding training, either through The FA or an FA-approved source. All coaches, staff, and volunteers must attend this training.
Good Practice Guidelines
Barton Rovers FC will implement and adhere to The FA’s recommended Good Practice Guidelines and Codes of Conduct.
Reporting Procedures
Any suspicions or allegations of abuse, poor practice, or harm will be taken seriously and addressed quickly and appropriately. Complaints will be managed according to our Child Protection procedures.
Designated Safeguarding Officer
Barton Rovers FC has appointed a designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) responsible for handling any concerns regarding the protection of children / young adults and people in and around the club.
Use of Photography and Filming
Barton Rovers FC will strictly follow The FA’s guidelines on the use of images involving children and young people.
This policy is fully supported by Barton Rovers FC and will be regularly reviewed and updated to ensure the ongoing safety and protection of children.
